PHSD Bus Accident

A Hawthorn Elementary school bus was headed east on Barry Road to finish its route in Wild Wood when a minivan pulled in front of it. There were 13 children on the bus. Two students were taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure. The driver of the van and a five-year-old passenger were also transported to the hospital. The parents of the students on the bus were called immediately.

This was my Girls Bus#30, it was running late this morning, I drove my children to school and came up on the accident right after it happened. Very sad--all these kids are from my neighborhood.

Pajama Program

Urgent need for help and you are the one who can do it! Haute Weekly & Haute Market are helping the Pajama Program, which collects new pj's and books for local children in need. The Rose Brooks center is in immediate need of pj's, and I am sure there are others.

How to help: Bring a new pair of kids' pajamas to the Feb. 8th Haute Market event. We'll trade you for a raffle ticket. We will have dozens of fantastic prizes!Bring two pj's, get two raffle tickets, bring 10, get ten. It's up to you and what you are able to give. I know times are tough right now, but if I give up two days of latte's I can buy a great set of pj's.

If you would like to be part of this fabulous program please let me know! It brings me so much joy and my kids are learning the blessing of giving unto others.
